A neighborhood name is a useful starting point, but each property deserves its own review. Use these questions to make your next visit more productive.

Use Clement Street as a starting point, then walk the actual block.

Burma Superstar at 309 Clement and Richmond Republic Draught House at 642 Clement provide two stops along the neighborhood’s dining corridor. Mountain Lake Park, at 1 11th Avenue on the Presidio edge, offers a different destination from the shops. Connect these places with the home you are considering, and check crossings, building entrances, interior sound and the return trip. The map is for orientation and does not reproduce Redfin’s statistical boundary.

A rapid bus stop is a specific connection to test.

The 38R Geary Rapid serves stops at 6th Avenue, Arguello and Park Presidio and connects to the Salesforce Transit Center. Test the actual walk, wait, transfers and trip at your expected travel times. Nearby USF’s Lone Mountain admission office is at 2800 Turk Street, east of this guide’s orientation area. These connections are useful context, but neither a route map nor an institutional address establishes an individual home’s rental value.

A competitive market still needs a building budget.

Our perspective: compare a condo, TIC and whole-building purchase separately. Review reserves or shared obligations, insurance, garage rights, roof and system condition, legal unit count and permit records before setting the offer. For investors, underwrite existing lawful leases and itemized expenses first. Any renovation, ADU or redevelopment option needs its own feasibility review and cost case; a neighborhood price increase is not an entitlement or a return forecast.

  • Rainfall and temperature source: NOAA NCEI San Francisco Downtown, USW00023272 ↗, at 37.7705, −122.4269. These are city station readings, not measurements at an individual home. We sum the daily precipitation records and count days with at least 0.01 inches. The precipitation variable includes any liquid-equivalent frozen precipitation.
  • Daily values retain NOAA’s station observation dates. An observation day can end at a station’s reporting time; we do not relabel it as a midnight-to-midnight Pacific measurement. Trace precipitation is marked “Trace.” Missing or quality-flagged precipitation rejects a monthly update; incomplete temperatures remain unavailable.
  • Fog and sky source: National Weather Service CLMSFO, archived by Iowa Environmental Mesonet ↗. The source’s fog, fair, partly cloudy and cloudy counts are kept as reported.
