Orient by the hill, the towers, and the wider East Cut.

Rincon Hill sits within a broader downtown neighborhood often called the East Cut. These names cover different areas. Start with Guy Place Mini Park, then connect the residential streets to Folsom and Spear. Prospect at the Infinity Towers provides a dining stop; The Fly Trap is farther west along Folsom. The map below is an orientation view, separate from Redfin’s data boundary.

Our buying lens starts with comparable homes in the same building: unit line, floor height, view direction, light, and floor plan can matter more than a neighborhood median. Review reserves, insurance, elevator and mechanical work, management costs, and any separate parking or storage charge. Visit the actual entrance and the rooms at different times of day before assigning a view or convenience premium.

Connect downtown access to your own routine.

Salesforce lists its headquarters at 415 Mission Street, and the nearby Salesforce Transit Center offers bus connections with BART stations on Market Street. Test the full door-to-destination trip from the home. For an investment, verify achieved rents and building leasing restrictions, then model net income after HOA dues and all other ownership costs. Employer proximity alone does not establish a rent premium.

  • Rainfall and temperature source: NOAA NCEI San Francisco Downtown, USW00023272 ↗, at 37.7705, −122.4269. These are city station readings, not measurements at an individual home. We sum the daily precipitation records and count days with at least 0.01 inches. The precipitation variable includes any liquid-equivalent frozen precipitation.
  • Daily values retain NOAA’s station observation dates. An observation day can end at a station’s reporting time; we do not relabel it as a midnight-to-midnight Pacific measurement. Trace precipitation is marked “Trace.” Missing or quality-flagged precipitation rejects a monthly update; incomplete temperatures remain unavailable.
  • Fog and sky source: National Weather Service CLMSFO, archived by Iowa Environmental Mesonet ↗. The source’s fog, fair, partly cloudy and cloudy counts are kept as reported.
